Muhalif güçler Uluslararası Havaalanını kuşatma amacıyla bir operasyon başlattı. Operasyonun amacı al Ghizlaniye ve Hitaitat el Türkmen semtleriyle beraber Havaalanını ele geçirmek. Şu ana kadar muhalifler Ghizlaniye civarında bazı bölgelerin kontrolünü ele geçirdi. Burada 23mm. bir top ve bir T72 tankı vuruldu. / Opposition forces launched a new battle to encircle the Damascus International Airport, where Assad regime receives foreign combatants and Iranian supply, in an attempt to impose a siege on Assad regime. The battle aims at taking over the airport along with al-Ghizlaniyeh and Hatetet al-Turkman areas. So far, revolutionaries has gained control of several areas near al-Ghizlaniyeh in preparation for storming it, and destroyed a 23 mm gun as well as a T-72 tank.
